Kevin Packingham is a founding member of TAP with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. He has been part of many groundbreaking innovations in his career including the first dual-network 4G mobile handset, the signing of the original Open Handset Alliance that led to the creation of Android, the first global handset launched simultaneously on all US carriers, and the development of the first Wi-Fi phone launched by a cable operator.
Kevin recently joined Motion Intelligence as the CEO and is leading the early startup phase of the company as well as working with investors for the initial round of funding. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Product Management for Cablevision Systems. In this role, he was responsible for managing the entire portfolio of video, broadband, voice, and wireless services.
Kevin previously served as the Chief Product Officer for Samsung Telecommunications America, where he managed the full portfolio of Samsung handsets, tablets and wearable devices in the U.S. market. He was responsible for all components of product delivery including concept creation, product planning/strategy, technology roadmaps, product marketing and full life cycle product management.
Prior to Samsung, Kevin served as the CEO of the secured managed services provider Amerilink Telecom Corporation. He also spent more than a decade at Sprint Nextel Corporation where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as its Senior Vice President of Product and Technology Development, where he managed the company’s entire portfolio of wireless and wireline products and services, overseeing long-term technology strategy while maintaining the product roadmap, project delivery, and ongoing lifecycle support.
Kevin holds a B.S. in Psychology from Evangel University; an M.A. in Human Factors from The University of Dayton; and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Washington University.
