TAP Growth Group Adds Rich Begert As Partner

Rich Begert – With a wealth of experience in the mobile, construction, digital print and e-commerce industries, Rich significantly broadens TAPs knowledge and contact base. Rich has been using his expertise in strategic planning, venture financing, go-to-market strategies, financial modeling and projections to advise start-up businesses in the technology sector for a number of years.

Rich is a proven leader, with CEO and COO roles.  While CEO of Wireless Services Corp., he led the company through various business model changes in the text messaging industry.  He managed acquisitions, divestitures, venture funding and complex negotiations with all the major broadcasters.  Ultimately, he successfully sold the company to Ericsson Inc.

Prior to Wireless Services he was the CEO of ImageX.com, an internet based company in the digital distributed print and e-commerce industry.   In this role, he led the company through venture funding and a public offering.  He implemented Sarbanes Oxley controls and later sold the company to Fed Ex/Kinkos.

Rich was SVP and Regional president for AT&T Wireless/McCaw Cellular where he was accountable for over $1 billion in revenues and 3400 employees.  During his tenure he launched the first digital (TDMA) and wireless data (CDPD) services in the country.  Rich also led the development of the Digital One Rate plan that eliminated roaming and long distance charges from wireless calling.

Begert graduated from the University of Washington Foster school of Business with a BA in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis.
