Rietta Stoneman

Rietta Stoneman brings to TAP over 25 years of experience leading teams in IT, customer operations, business process re-engineering and company integration of both B2B and consumer acquisitions for high-growth technology-oriented companies.

As a former CIO and VP of IT for Western Wireless, Concur Technologies and most recently Wireless Advocates and Car Toys, Rietta’s strong operational and business focus has enabled her to make technology decisions tied to people and processes to achieve the goals of the business. Since retiring as CIO of Wireless Advocates and Car Toys at the end of 2017, Rietta has enjoyed advising companies in their IT and digital transformations, most recently for 2Degrees Mobile in New Zealand. 

At Concur Technologies Rietta led the Information Technology organization until the successful sale of Concur to SAP.  She helped the company grow rapidly, expanding down-market to SMB, opening a large Philippines service center, converting billing systems and customer systems. Prior to Concur, as a Vice President in Gartner’s Executive Programs Division, Rietta supported and advised over 25 member CIO’s from diverse public-sector and commercial organizations in the United States and Canada.

As Vice President of Information Technology at Western Wireless, Corp., Rietta led an organization of 200 employees focused on rapidly growing the business while achieving ongoing cost reductions, new billing system and new network technology introduction. Rietta also worked with Entricom as Vice President of Client Services, successfully salvaging a multi-million dollar sale through relationship-building, accurate and frequent communication, and effective implementation project management.

Rietta’s career began at McCaw Cellular Communications, later acquired by AT&T Wireless.  There she held various roles in Information Technology and Customer Operations.  Her last role with AT&T was as the Transition Vice President responsible for the successful integration of Vanguard Cellular, a $1.5 Billion acquisition.  Previous responsibilities included leading the Customer Operations and IT organizations for the Wireless Data Division of AT&T Wireless; leading the Business Process Reengineering effort of the company’s customer acquisition, customer care, marketing, and billing processes, and leading a regional IT department for McCaw’s largest region. 

Rietta holds a B.S. in Biology from the College of William & Mary in Virginia and an M.B.A. with a General Management emphasis from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
